In this free video tutorial series, brought to you with the support of Waves, we show you how you to mix a live band session using a variety of plug-ins by Waves.
In the 3rd video in a series of 4 we show you how you can use the following Waves plug-ins to mix several styles of electric guitar tracks:
GTR
Kramer Tape
H-Delay
MaxBass
PS22
This session has several different style electric guitar tracks ranging clean to distorted. Some of these tracks are easy to balance and require very small high pass filtering. One distorted guitar track in particular needed some body and tone injected into it as the recorded track sounded too weak in the mix alone.
In this video, we show you how to quickly find the perfect electric guitar tone using Waves GTR, how to add stereo interest using Waves PS22 and how to add subtle slap echoes using Kramer Tape.
In the other videos in this series, we will show you how to mix electric guitars, backing vocal arrangements and lead vocals using Waves plug-ins.
