Vance Dickason has been working as a professional in the loudspeaker industry since 1974, and is widely recognized as the author of the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook as well as the editor of Voice Coil, The Magazine for the Loudspeaker Industry (now in its 33rd year!).  Regarded as the speaker engineering “bible”, the Loudspeaker Design Cookbook has been published in eight languages, including French, German, Dutch, Italian, Chinese, Spanish, and Portuguese, and English.  However, publishing is a relatively small part of Vance Dickason Consulting, which has been responsible for literally hundreds of speaker designs for numerous speaker brands in home audio, car audio, and pro sound.  He was presented with the prestigious AES Citation Award for his long term contribution to audio education, as well as the Association of Loudspeaker Manufacturing & Acoustics International (ALMA) Beryllium Driver Lifetime Achievement Award (past winners include Floyd Toole, Paul Klipsch, Edgar Villchur and Amar Bose).
