Mark Wherry

Mark Wherry is Director of Music Technology for Hans Zimmer's Remote Control studio in Santa Monica. He wrote the first 64-bit, multi-core sampler used in the production of a feature film soundtrack, alongside numerous other technologies. His film and soundtrack credits include Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit, The Dark Knight Trilogy, The Da Vinci Code, Sherlock Holmes, The Little Prince, Dunkirk, and many more.


Formerly, Mark was Reviews Editor at Sound On Sound magazine, where he remains a contributor. His most notable moments were performing as the hands of Davy Jones, playing the organ in the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, and being the proud recipient of a Ray Liotta on James O’Brien’s Mystery Hour.
