With the announcement of Apple’s Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks operating system there are known issues with Media Composer 7 and earlier, Pro Tools 11 and earlier, Sibelius 7 and earlier, EUCON and ISIS. Avid will announce support for Mac OS X 10.9 with future releases of software.
It is not recommended to use Sibelius or EUCON with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks) as they are not supported at this time.
Pro Tools 11.0.3 announces support for Mac OS X 10.9 Mavericks.
Below is a list of known issues still occurring with Pro Tools 11.1 and earlier on Mac OS X 10.9:
The uninstaller for Pro Tools 10.3.8 and earlier will not work on Mac OS X 10.9. For this reason Avid does not recommend using Pro Tools 10.3.8 or earlier with Mac OS X 10.9 (Mavericks). PTSW-185438.
Some Fast Track model driver un-installers won’t work on Mac OS X 10.9. It is not possible to un-install the drivers for the following: Fast Track MKII and Fast Track USB.
QuickTime X: In OS X Mavericks, some older media formats, and those that require third-party codec components, are converted to H.264 or Apple ProRes when opened with QuickTime X. These older media formats can be played without conversion using QuickTime Player 7.
Sibelius:
Font Substitution in dialog boxes appear using Mac OS X 10.9. The system font used by Sibelius has been changed in Mac OS X 10.9 such that the text in dialogs is not displayed correctly. Sib-439.
Unable to use Sibelius as a ReWire device with Mac OS X 10.9. Although it may be possible to start Sibelius as a ReWire device in Pro Tools and other applications, Sibelius is unable to send the audio to the ReWire host. Sib-522.
EUCON:
EuControl Surfaces may not attach automatically. After a reboot of the Macintosh computer EuControl may be delayed in launching automatically and control surfaces may not be detected. One workaround is to quit EuControl and relaunch. Another workaround is to power cycle the EuControl control surface(s). EUCON-2567.
ISIS
ISIS 4.6 supports Mac OS X 10.9
Media Composer:
Media Composer 7.0.3 and 6.5.4.1 support Mac OS X 10.9 and 10.9.1.
IMPORTANT:
installation: If you have an earlier version of Media Composer installed and you had upgraded to Mavericks already, the uninstaller in the Applications/Avid_Uninstallers/ folder will not work. When upgrading to v7.0.3 or v6.5.4.1 you must use the uninstaller that is included with the v7.0.3 or v6.5.4.1 installer .dmg first before installing v7.0.3 or v6.5.4.1.
VideoRAID SR: In addition to the issues listed below, Avid has identified a critical issue with the ATTO driver that installs with OS 10.9. The drivers that are installed with OS 10.9 for the ATTO H380 and H680 are not compatible with the Avid VideoRaid SR and will corrupt the data on the storage array. Customers with Avid VideoRaid SRs and/or the ATTO H380 or H680 should not upgrade to OS 10.9.
QuickTime X: In OS X Mavericks, some older media formats, and those that require third-party codec components, are converted to H.264 or Apple ProRes when opened with QuickTime X. These older media formats can be played without conversion using QuickTime Player 7.
Below is a list of known issues with previous versions (v7.0.2, 6.5.4 and earlier) of Media Composer software running on Mac OS X 10.9. You may encounter other problems that have not been identified yet.

Mavericks will not be officially supported until v3.1 is released. We have noticed some issues with Switched network or Direct Connect setups. The issue exists in Mountain Lion also, however seems worse in Mavericks. It is a top bug fix for the release.
In the meantime, most users should get connection to surfaces by doing a Stop/Start in system preferences > EUCON after fresh start
