A couple of days ago we shared with you the lucky winners of our recent competition who won a single plug-in from the Nugen Audio Loudness Toolkit 2. Now we can share with you who has won one of five complete Loudness Toolkit 2 Bundles courtesy of Nugen Audio.

Carl Green

I'm a dubbing mixer and sound designer based in Hampshire. Since I did my MA in audio engineering I've been very lucky and managed to land regular work on broadcast documentaries, corporate projects and some audio multimedia projects too. I aim to continue expanding my business and continue working with local production companies around Hampshire and hope to work in a large facility or within a broadcaster in the future. 

When the loudness standard first starting making waves here in the UK, I spent hours researching and going to presentations to make the swap from PPM's. I've also tried many of the loudness metering plugins and I think the most important feature for such a tool is that it is clear and intuitive to use. It will be great to get a lot more visual feedback from VisLM than my current meter for audio dubbing. The whole toolkit will give peace of mind when delivering to spec or just keeping an eye on loudness when working on non-broadcast projects. 

Thanks a lot Mike and to the Pro-Tools expert team, your online tutorials, review of gear and general advice for independent professionals has been invaluable to me as I've started my career but also a major distraction from my day job! 

Martijn Welle

I am an Amsterdam based sound designer and co-owner of „Firma Helle Willemstein: an audio post production studio beautifully located in the Amsterdam city centre area. Together with my long time associate Arno Willemstein, we run the studio and work very closely together on the sound design and re-recordingmixes of numerous films, television series and documentary’s.

The studio is equipped with a 5.1 JBL cinema monitoring system. One sound design suite has a 5.1 Dynaudio Air monitoring system. And last but not least there is a recording room for dubbing and all other recordings.

I will definitely use the loudness toolkit a lot. The ISL-2 on the master for gentle and transparent true peak limiting. The VisLM2 we will use to make our full dynamic cinema mixes EBU R128 ready. And LM-Correct works beautifully when there are not much adjustments needed or if there is not to much time to make EBU R128 compatible mixes.

I’m originally from Argentina and have been living in New Zealand for the last 8 years. I have been involved in music and audio projects for about 10 years.  I mostly work in audio post for advertising, TV and film, as an engineer for Franklin Road.

The Nugen Audio Loudness Toolkit 2 will make conforming to the different loudness standards we adhere to when doing work for NZ and Australian TV easier and lots faster. We already use ISL and LMB on a daily basis, so really looking forward to upgrade to ISL II and I think VisLM will be awesome for long form work and a killer combo when used with LM-Correct 2…

Gabriel Scoppa

I am based in Montreal, Canada, and I offer professional, affordable audio recording and mixing to artists in any genre of music, as well as having a great deal of experience in engineering live sound. 

I now work primarily in live broadcast, mixing a morning show and sports. I use my studio for post production to help with the live productions I work on. The Loudness Toolkit 2 bundle will help me bring my work up to ATSC A/85 standards.

Being an avid reader of Pro Tools Expert for many years, I’m elated to learn that I’ll be soon the happy owner of the Nugen Loudness Toolkit 2!

I’m currently employed as a sound editor at Dubbing Brothers in Paris, mainly working on movie teasers, movies and TV series but also do some freelance sound designing jobs for commercials and TV shows. I discovered Pro Tools 15 years ago and I’ve been using LM Correct for a few years as well, knowing how useful it can be to stay true to Loudness’ standards.
