There's been some discussions going on in forums and on social media suggesting that Pro Tools First is a myth and does not exist and is not coming.

Since we have been less than enthusiastic about the Avid Everywhere vision we seemed to have fell out of favour with Avid, the makers of Pro Tools and we're currently not on Avid's Christmas card list. So we had to sign up like anyone else to get our copy back in January.

We got the emails telling us it was coming soon and eventually on June 20th we got an email telling us we could download it. It took a further week for that link to work but we did eventually download it and now have a copy working on our test machines.

Granted the wait for Pro Tools First has been a long one and one could not describe this as the Usain Bolt of product launches, but the Pro Tools First myth is... well, a myth.

Be patient and you should get it some time soon.
