We're hearing from people who have got themselves a copy of Pro Tools First only to find that Xpand2 has no sounds, this of course impacts when opening any of the Xpand2 templates. Here's how to fix it.

As has been the case with all version of Pro Tools, Xpand2 is a separate download from the account that you have Pro Tools First registered to.

Until you download the 1.2gb installer then Xpand2 will not work as it is missing the vital .big file that contains all the sound content.

In hindsight with a product like Pro Tools First it may be better for Avid to ship Pro Tools First and Xpand2 as a single installer, or create an automatic install routine to prompt users to install the necessary additional content, in much the same way Apple products like Logic do.
