In last week's earnings call with their shareholders Avid, the makers of Pro Tools, said that around 130,000 people had signed up with expressions of interest in Pro Tools First, the free version of Pro Tools.

Pro Tools First is a featured limited version of Pro Tools that allows the user to try out the 'Pro Tools Experience' but with some restrictions. You can read our Pro Tools First review here.
