Free Tutorials on Waves Kramer Master Tape & Manny Marroquin Series

In this free video tutorial Russ tries using the Waves Kramer Master Tape plug-in on a parallel mix buss on drums and bass. Often this technique is used with compressors, but Russ decides to see what happens when using it with tape compression and saturation.

More On Waves Kramer Master Tape

Developed in association with Eddie Kramer, the Kramer Master Tape plugin is modeled on a rare vintage 1/4" reel-to-reel machine. With adjustable tape speed, bias, flux, wow & flutter, and noise parameters, the Kramer Master Tape provides comprehensive control over the contours of your sound. And to top it off, Waves have added a flexible slap & feedback delay, ideal for rock, dance, dub, you name it.

Following on from Russ' review of the Waves Manny Marroquin plug-in series, he takes a mix and uses the plug-ins to add more bottom end to a kick, density to a snare, mash up a backbeat, add interest to a synth and tighten up a synth bass. Check it out.

Michael Brauer who works with the likes of Coldplay, John Mayer and My Morning Jacket says...

Manny's plug-ins are so musical. I use his distortion plugin a lot: it is very versatile, it has a different sound, and it’s a step up from what’s out there. The EQ plugin is just as great: each band is a different favorite equalizer of his. There are times where there is just ‘too much’ of Manny’s plugins on my tracks, but it’s great!

There are always some great offers on Waves plug-ins on their Specials page.
