The Schwerkraftmaschine By Tegeler Audio Manufaktur Now Available

Last year, Tegeler Audio Manufaktur announced a new type of multipurpose outboard compressor that appeared to be all the compressor anyone would ever need. I was very interested in how the hybrid analog/digital workflow could work in my workflow. This week welcomes the launch of that product, Der Kompressor - The Schwerkraftmaschine.

Watch my interview with Michael Krusch from Tegeler Audio Manufaktur at NAMM 2016 to see the pre-production model of The Schwerkraftmaschine in action.

Recall Of Hardware Settings Via DAW Plug-in

The Schwerkraftmaschine is built on an analog tube signal path. One of the unique features of The Schwerkraftmaschine is that it works with a remote-controllable plug-in. The plug-in (AU, VST, AAX) saves all the settings on the hardware meaning the servomotor pots can automatically return to whatever settings were used previously - great for recall and even automation within Pro Tools. The Schwerkraftmaschine promises the best of both worlds in terms of workflow and sound quality - true outboard analog sound and tactile interaction with integrated DAW workflow.

Price & Availability and Try-Before-You-Buy

The Schwerkraftmaschine isn't cheap, but do bear in mind that you do get a lot of kit for the investment. You get 11 compressors with this hybrid analog/digital recall workflow and it is hand built and made from high-quality components as well.

I own the Creme by Tegeler Audio and I think that is a thing of beauty so if The Schwerkraftmaschine is of the same quality as the Creme then I would say The Schwerkraftmaschine will be worth every penny.

Available for EUR 3,499.00 / US$ 3,599.00.
