A-Z Of Waves - A Is For Abbey Road

Abbey Road is perhaps the most iconic recording studio on the planet, partly because it was the place where many of the Beatles tracks were recorded by producer Sir George Martin. However it was also the place where many technical audio legends were born a lot of the technology created at Abbey Road is still used today and some the basic design concepts are emulated in modern product design.

Waves have been working with Abbey Road for several years developing emulations of classic mixing consoles, effects and reverbs. We've featured many of them on Pro Tools Expert giving reviews and demos of how to use them.

Creating a product endorsed by Abbey Road is a long process as they guard the Abbey Road name jealously making sure nothing is done to compromise it. Abbey Road work closely with every manufacturer to make sure anything bearing the Abbey Road name is right before it sees the light of day - you can't simply put the Abbey Road name on something.
