Steinberg Announce Their New Scoring Application - Dorico

It has been three and a half years since the main group of developers that worked on Avid's Sibelius scoring program joined the team at Steinberg. It has been a long time coming and it is not over yet but we now know the name of Steinberg's new scoring package. Dorico will be a new take on the 600 year old problem of printed music.  In a recent presentation Steinberg's Daniel Spreadbury, who will be known to many of the Sibelius community talked about the design and development of Dorico and most importantly the release date.

Dorico is due for release during Q4 (Oct - Dec) 2016.  Pricing will be 579 Euro including VAT. They are also planning educational pricing and cross-grade offers from other scoring application.
