ADR workflow software EdiCue and EdiPrompt have been updated by Sounds In Sync, after the recent update to conforming software EdiLoad, which we currently have on a deal.

What Is EdiCue?

EdiCue is an application that allows sound editors and supervisors to create ADR cues and department notes within Pro Tools. These cues and notes are generally created after a spotting session and ideally before anyone starts working on the sound for the project - including the scheduling of actors for record.

Once all cues and notes have been created, EdiCue exports a range of files including ADR scripts and files to aid with the recording process. These files can be loaded into the partner app EdiPrompt while actors are recorded. EdiPrompt displays the cues on-screen and helps automate the recoding process when using Pro Tools.

What Is EdiPrompt?

EdiPrompt is an application that allows ADR and foley recordists to cue their actor or artist. EdiPrompt does this by providing a range of customisable visual and audio cues. Furthermore, to allow the recordist to focus on the performance they are recording as much as possible, EdiPrompt automates the recording process when using Pro Tools by renaming the record track(s) and locating to each cue point using its Cue List window.

The quickest way to load cues into the EdiPrompt Cue List window is to create or import third-party cues with Emmy® award-winning application EdiCue.

EdiLoad can also be used in conjunction with EdiPrompt to generate files that trigger visual cues at picture and scene change points for foley walkers.
