Audionamix are showing a brand new plugin at AES this year that will be of great interest to the post community. They are announcing the announce their first speech-optimised product, the ADX Speech Volume Control (SVC) plug-in.
Since the release of their melodic separation software TRAX in 2014, apparently they have been asked if they could produce a product that was designed specifically to separate speech and dialogue as an extension of melodic content separation, and would open up possibilities and troubleshooting applications for content owners and anyone in the production or post-production audio fields.
They are using a speech-optimized version of ADX-VEX, the same technology found in TRAX Pro and VVC, the SVC plug-in is designed to provide independent volume level control over both speech and background elements within a mono or stereo mix. Users are able to lower the level of background noise within troublesome production audio or easily boost dialogue levels without requiring access to stems or the full multi-track session.
A brand new Consonants Detection Algorithm automatically identifies, separates, and controls difficult noisy consonants. Fully adjustable Pitch Range Sliders allow users to hone in on specific voice ranges, while preset voice profiles easily target the three standard frequency ranges of speech – male, female and child.
