Nugen Audio At IBC 2016 - 8.D56
At IBC2016, NUGEN Audio will introduce its all-new audio batch file processing solution, AMB, together with a significant new upgrade of the company's Halo Upmix plug-in for upmixing stereo audio to surround.
NUGEN Audio's AMB (Audio Management Batch) processor is a new solution built on the concept of their Loudness Management Batch (LMB) processor. With new features such as threaded algorithm processing and multiple processing threads that are addressable for simultaneous parallel handling of files and queues, AMB enables post facilities to speed workflows significantly and reduce delivery times.
AMB includes new customization features and several optional extensions that will allow customers to carry out an even greater range of audio-processing tasks. These features include a new upmix/downmix capability, an extension for the company's award-winning DynAptT technology for loudness-range targeting and content repurposing, and loudness management support for MXF or ProRes files.
Also at IBC2016, NUGEN Audio will introduce an upgrade of its Halo Upmix software for upmixing stereo audio to surround. The latest version of Halo Upmix adds a brand-new set of algorithms for upmixing from multichannel audio to higher channel counts, including LCR to 5.1, 5.1 to 7.1, and 7.1 to 9.1. The 9.1 option allows the introduction of vertical positioning into the upmix, generating a 7.1.2 (Dolby® Atmos) bed track-compatible upmix.
NTP DAD At IBC 2016 - 8.B51
NTP Technology will be introducing two new additions to its product range at IBC 2016. Pro|Mon|2 is a complete monitor control solution for the DAD AX32 and DX32 converter interfaces and MOM (Monitor Operating Module) which is a stand-alone control unit for controlling dedicated monitor functions in a Pro|Mon|2 monitor control system.
The NTP Technology Pro|Mon|2 is an audio router and stand-alone monitor control solution using NTP Technology's DADman 5.1 control software, for the DAD AX32 or DX32 converter I/O and processor interfaces. Pro|Mon|2 is designed to provide management of signal routing, control room speaker levels and monitor cues in a range of channel formats including stereo, 5.1, 7.1.4, Dolby Atmos and other 3D immersive audio formats. We can also exclusively announce that the Pro|Mon|2 will also integrate with the Pro Tools Dock and the Pro Tools Control App so you can build an extremely versatile monitor controller with these, obviously assuming you have an AX32 or DX32.
Alternatively NTP are offering the new MOM (Monitor Operating Module) desktop remote control unit providing various adjustments for studio control room level, cut, mute, talkback and speaker reference level. Source and speaker select buttons can be configured to any Pro|Mon|2 input source and speaker or monitor output. Six GPIO ports are available or can be used for additional control of Pro|Mon|2 functions.
