Avid Marketplace Expands With New Features And New Brands

The Avid Marketplace has been quietly sitting in Pro Tools for a while now but we are now seeing more brands adopt the Avid Marketplace to sell their plugins with new additions announced at NAMM 2017 including Antares Auto-Tune, McDSP and Sounds In Sync

What Is So Special About The Avid Marketplace?

The key difference between the Avid Marketplace and other online plugin stores is that you can buy plugins from within Pro Tools without having to even close the session. Imagine a scenario where you are collaborating with someone and they have used a plugin you don't own then you can buy, install and start using the plugin without even having to close the session.

What's more, the Avid Marketplace is for more than just Pro Tools users in the studio. Live sound mixers using Venue software can also take advantage of the Avid Marketplace to get products and plug-ins.

Antares Auto-Tune In The Marketplace

Antares Auto-Tune is a vital tool for many Pro Tools users that the name that the name has become the 'Hoover' of pitch correcting software.  Avid is thrilled to welcome Antares and Auto-Tune 8 to Avid Marketplace, ready for in-app purchase.

Love it or hate it, for nearly 20 years, Auto-Tune has been a key player in professional pitch (and more recently, time) correction. Auto-Tune 8 introduced Flex-Tune, designed to be a new standard of natural real-time pitch correction.

We understand that just a few weeks after NAMM, you’ll be able to purchase Auto-Tune on Avid Marketplace, or take advantage of in-app purchase in Pro Tools to buy, download, authorise and install the Plug-In while you’re in an active project or collaborating with a partner using Avid Cloud Collaboration.

Avid Working With More And More Brands To Bring To The Marketplace

We understand that Avid is working closely with many new and established AAX developers to get their plug-ins to market with this new feature.  These include AIR Instruments, Antares, Aphex Systems, Audified, Audio Gaming, Audionamix, Crane Song, Empirical Labs, Eventide, Focusrite, Matthew Lane, Nugen Audio, Quiet Art, Sonible, Volko Audio, and Wholegrain Digital Systems.

In addition, at NAMM 2017 they are announcing the planned arrival of McDSP to the Avid webstore along with software offerings from Emmy® Award-winning developer Sounds In Sync and the post-production experts at Kiwa Digital.
