Our friends at Antelope Audio are very excited announcing their new interface the Orion32 HD just in time for Winter NAMM 2017.
The Orion32 HD sticks with their trusted 1U form factor but the unit is finished in matte black. As you would expect Orion32 HD is compatible with all major DAWs connected via USB3 for either Windows and Mac OS but the big news is that the Orion32 HD has Mini Digilink ports for connection to Avid HDX and HD Native cards and the HD Thunderbolt Native platform.
The Orion32 HD has 32 channels of A/D and D/A conversion with connectivity via D-Sub, 16 channels of ADAT optical I/O, SPDIF and MADI giving 64 channels of simultaneous streaming I/O at 24-bit 192KHz. There is also a pair of 1/4 inch TRS jacks with are the mastering grade monitor outputs.
To keep a system in sync Antelope provide 2 Wordclock or LoopSync outs allowing the user to take advantage of Antelope's 64-bit clocking technology. The Orion32HD is also a fanless unit so no need to worry about where it lives in your studio.
One of the things I love about Antelope's recent range of interfaces is their amazing routing and DSP software system which is becoming ever more enhanced. I look forward to reviewing the Orion32HD as soon as one becomes available and seeing how this maps over to a Pro Tools HDX workflow.
