In this week's Friday Free Plug-in, we are featuring SnareBuzz from Wavesfactory, a free plug-in which synthesises the rattle of an under-snare mic.

An adaptation of the better known trick of using a side chained gate and a signal generator to synthesise extra bottom end on a kick drum recording, using the same technique is it possible to create a convincing snare rattle using a noise generator and a side chained gate. I covered this in a tutorial video on the site a couple of years ago. This free plug-in from Wavesfactory offers this technique in a convenient, ready-made plug-in.
