PluginUpdate Servers Shutdown - Service No Longer Available

It has come to our attention that the great free application PluginUpdate designed and built by Kazrog and supported by Plugin Boutique no longer works as the servers that host the database have been shutdown.

Shane McFee, CEO/CTO - Kazrog LLC has posted this statement on the Kazrog forum...

PluginUpdate is no longer in development, and has not (itself) been updated since 2013, despite the fact that its database continues to grow automatically.
The PluginUpdate server itself (upon which the app relies) has been shut down on January 31, 2017. If you are looking for a solution to keep your plugins up to date, we highly recommend MyKVR.
Very sorry to everyone who relied upon the app. It simply became impossible to develop it to a standard that I feel is worthy of representing the Kazrog brand, for a variety of technical and business reasons.

This is a real shame as PluginUpdate had become a reliable source of information to help Pro Tools users keep our plugins up to date, even though the application itself hadn't been updated since 2013. One of the reasons Pro Tools can misbehave is due to an out of date plugin just being present in the Plugins folder and so to have a utility to help us keep to to date without having to trawl through all the developer's web sites was very useful.
