Paul begins by adjusting the sensitivity to get the desired input level so the input indicator is just going amber but no red. Paul then adjusts the low,mid and high EQ bands to help shape his master EQ. Finally he adjusts the compress control to bring up the loudness of the track to get the track sounding like a finished master.
