Apple To Do More For Creative Pro Claims CEO Tim Cook

Apple CEO Tim Cook has said that Apple is still committed to the pro user and in particular the creative.

His comments made during a Shareholder Q&A session held at Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, California. Cook said "You will see us do more in the pro area," and went on to say "The pro area is very important to us. The creative area is very important to us in particular."

While his comments will be welcome news to many Apple users troubled by what seems to be Apple's focus on consumer products such as iOS devices and lightweight mobile computers, his comments may be treated with some skepticism by many.

He is also reported to have gone on to say "Don’t think that something we’ve done or something we’re doing that isn’t visible yet is a signal that our priorities are elsewhere:"

The subject of new Mac computers is high on the agenda for Pro Tools users and other creative professionals, with many of us wondering what our future Pro Tools computer will be. You can read what Macs the Pro Tools Expert team currently use, but some are considering their next option too.

So what do you think? Do you wait optimistically for a new 'pro' Mac or do you think you are more likely to win the Grand National riding a unicorn?
