In this free video tutorial, we show you a clever Pro Tools workaround that saves Melodyne users a lot of time transferring audio into the Melodyne plug-in in real-time.

Developed by Celemony, the makers of Melodyne, ARA enables DAWs and plug-ins to transfer information seamlessly, which helps users work more efficiently. In short, ARA integrates plug-ins in DAWs as though ARA ARA enabled plug-ins were part of the DAW.

Unlike Logic Pro X, Steinberg Cubase, Studio One and many other DAWs, Pro Tools has yet to get ARA.

This trick provides Pro Tools users with a sudo ARA workflow while we wait for Avid to include ARA in Pro Tools in the future.

Users must have Melodyne 4.1 and Pro Tools 12.3 or above for this hack to work.
