Winners Announced From Our Recent SoundBits Competition

In one of our competitions for March 2017 we gave you the chance for one person to win either a copy of every single sound effects library and 3 people to win 5 SoundBits libraries of their choice. We have selected the winners from our virtual hat using a random number generator and here are the 4 winners...

David Thomas - Winner The Complete SoundBits Collection

I’ve been working with sound for almost 30 years and I love (almost) every minute of it. I started as a BBC Studio Manager in 1987 and have been freelance for the last 23 years. I specialise in making dramas, documentaries and comedy shows for BBC Radio so this SoundBits library prize will get very heavy use from day one.

I’m currently in the process of building my own garden studio for recording and post production in Lewes, East Sussex, UK. I’ve read all the studio build stories on Pro Tools Expert, devoured a few books, done a bit of maths and I’m now at the stage of worrying about all the things I might have forgotten or got wrong. I’ve been involved with a few studio builds before though, so I hope I’ve got all the obvious stuff nailed. I should have my answer by the end of June. Wish me luck!

Brandon Finklea

I am a Musician and Audio Engineer located in Atlanta, GA. I do show production for artists and these projects require me to always be on the lookout for cool high-quality sounds that can be blended together to create something new and interesting. I’m always searching for sounds I can use for an artist's show intro’s or outro’s that will take the music to another level.

SoundBits sound effects will help make the search for quality sounds a lot easier. They have a vast library of transitions, impacts, and ambients that I can use in my productions that will instantly add excitement and give it new life.

Arkadiusz Rozmus

I'm currently studying Computer Science in Rzeszów, Poland, but audio is my second love. I do game audio, both sound design and music, as well as make my own electronic music.

I'm thrilled to check out the SoundBits libraries, it's actually my very first time using a commercial library. Definitely going to be a huge time saver! Here are my picks:

  1. Buttons, Switches and Levers
  2. Just Impacts - Simple
  3. Electro-Mechanics ToolKit
  4. The Blacksmith
  5. Just Whoosh 3 | Whoosh Essentials

hristina Blasnik

I am 41 years old, born in France but have been living for more than 20 years in Germany.
I have to admit that my musical path is not very long as it may seem. In fact, my husband is a full-time musician.  Therefore the equipment we already had a lot of the equipment.

I started trying out a couple of instruments and using Pro Tools quite recently. I hear my husband talking a lot about the sounds he is making.  He composes for a range of different genres, mainly EDM, Rock and Metal.

In addition, he has also had a few projects for computer games in which lots of sound effects were needed, for different scenes and situations in the game. Therefore these sample libraries will not only enrich his work but also enable me to try out some new ideas. In addition, I am happy to be able to surprise him as it was his birthday just this week.
