Tovusound have done it. They have released a version of their foley instrument Edward that is Kontakt Free Player compatible. So how there is no need to own a full version of Kontakt to use their foley instrument. Even better they have dropped the price to $79.

What they have done is added Kontakt Player and full NKS support to Edward Extended and re-named it Edward Foleyart Instrument, which long-standing users will remember the name from our first release which now will no longer be supported. 

Edward and Edward Ultimate are now set up for expansion packs and they tell us that they are working hard on some AddOns to release this year. 

What Is Edward?

Edward is designed to bring real recorded and natural randomised Foley Artist footsteps offering high quality and parameters to adjust distance and environment based on Native Instruments Kontakt engine.

Edward includes 35.600 real recorded and lovely edited Foley Artist sounds recorded at 96kHz and 24Bit. Edward comes with 43 different combinations of shoes and surfaces and 11 moves. Sneaking, slow walk, walk and jog with specials like stomp land scuffs, stop and spin. All varieties have been mapped to a specified keyboard key for real-time performance with left/right foot diversion.

System Requirements

• EDWARD runs in Kontakt or Free Kontakt Player version 5.2.2 or higher
• Mac OS X 10.10, 10.11 or 10.12 (latest update)
• Windows 7 or higher
• At least 4 GB of RAM (6 GB recommended), and 5 GB of free drive space
• Unzip software like free WinZip
• Stable internet connection to download files and product activation required. Once activated it can be used offline.
