Rich Nevens Moves From Avid To Focusrite - Who Else Will Follow?

Focusrite has announced that Rich Nevens has been appointed Vice President of Worldwide Sales: Commercial & Pro Audio, and will lead the newly formed business unit which consists of RedNet, Red interfaces and the ISA range of products. Rich follows Tim Carroll who left Avid as Vice President of Product Management: Audio to become Chief Executive at Focusrite.

Rich Nevens has held a number of positions for the last 12 years, most recently Director Strategic Solutions, WW Audio Sales. Damian Hawley, Focusriteā€™s Director of Global Marketing & Sales told us...

Our Dante-based RedNet and Red ranges are experiencing substantial growth and, as such, we have decided to form a dedicated business unit to focus on the professional audio community; Focusrite Commercial & Pro Audio.

Focusrite Group CEO Tim Carroll added...

Rich Nevens is a highly respected professional audio business leader with many years of experience operating at the senior decision-maker level. Rich will initially be focused on developing a world-class network of distributors, resellers and system integrators to accelerate our growth in the broadcast, post-production and professional markets.

Rich explains...

Focusrite has taken a clear leadership position in providing the most expansive line of great-sounding, Dante-enabled modular audio products, and I'm thrilled to lead a team focused on improving the workflow of the professional audio community with our powerful networked audio solutions.

When Avid and Focusrite announced a new alliance at NAMM 2016, we asked what's next? What we didn't predict, was a move of senior Avid staff to the UK shores to become key members of the Focusrite team.

Although Rich Nevens was due to be at the Jigsaw24 Mix With The Pros event representing Avid on Thursday, we now understand from Focusrite that Rich will neither be representing Avid or attending this event now.
