It's time now to feature April 2017's winner of the monthly Sonnox Community Award, whereby we award the individual, who in the judge's opinion, made an outstanding ongoing contribution to the Pro Tools Expert community. The winner then gets to choose a plug-in of their choice from the Sonnox Elite native bundle.
For April 2017 we have awarded it to Marcelo Cryo (announced in podcast no. 269) for his ongoing helpful comments and producing some useful tutorial videos focused on post-production workflow. Congratulations and thank you once again for your continuing contributions - keep them coming! Over to you Marcelo...
I’m a sound designer and a re-recording mixer native to São Paulo, Brazil. I graduated from the SAE Institute, Netherlands with an emphasis on mixing and mastering for surround and later also studied in Koln and Paris. I have since worked for a decade doing post-production audio eventually becoming a partner in the high-profile, audio post-production facility WeCanDo Audio Post, where I oversee editing, ADR, sound design, Foley creation & editing, mixing, and mastering. I also spend time teaching the next generation of audio professionals through MusicBit school and Panamericana University.
I've chosen the Oxford limiter as the enhancer that adds harmonics can give me more "body" to the sound, enhance the transients and give presence not forgetting the necessary true peak limiter for audio post.
Thanks, Marcelo, and for those that missed the video review of the Sonnox Oxford Limiter V2, you can catch it here.
