Free Tutorial - Using Repeat To Fill In Pro Tools To Cover Breaths When Editing Voice Overs

See this content in the original post

This is a feature I've used in Pro Tools in music production as a way to repeat a loop for the duration of a section of a song but it is arguably much more useful in this application when pasting sections of room tone which are shorter than the gap they are being used to fill. In this free video tutorial, I am going to explain and demonstrate this feature.

What Is Repeat To Fill?

The Repeat To Fill feature in Pro Tools is a variation on the standard Repeat command which duplicates the selected material a specified number of times. The only difference is that rather than blindly repeating the material is repeated up until the end of the timeline selection and the batch fades window is automatically instantiated to crossfade smoothly between the repeated sections.
