Our friends at Audio-Technica and Audient have teamed up to announce the AT2035-Studio Essential Studio Kit. This is a microphone, interface, headphone and software bundle ideal for producers and musicians in home studios or on the road.

The kit includes Audio-Technica’s popular AT2035 large diaphragm cardioid condenser mic and a pair of ATH-M40x studio monitor headphones. Audio interface duties are taken care of by Audient’s amazing iD4 Black edition USB audio interface. I reviewed the silver version back in June 2015. 
Featuring the renowned Audient mic preamp designed by David Dearden, the 2-in and 2-out iD4 Black boasts class-leading converter technology a JFET DI and Audient's ScrollControl virtual scroll wheel technology for accessing your DAW features from the interface.

The Audient iD4 is a great partner for Audio Technica’s natural and open sounding AT2035. This is high SPL handling mic with an  80Hz high-pass filter and 10dB pad making it well suited recording a wide range of instruments and voices and it comes with a custom designed shock-mount.

The ATH-M40x headphones deliver excellent performance in both tracking and mixing situations and share the same sonic signature as Audio-Technica’s legendary M50x and M70x flagship headphones. With 40mm drivers these headphones sound sonically flat so you know your mixes will translate and with professional grade earcups, comfort is all taken care of as well.
