See this content in the original post

In this free video tutorial, you will learn about how to access combination edit modes. these extend on the standard four edit modes of slip, grid, shuffle and spot by allowing "grid+other" modes. To access these edit modes simply shift click on a second edit mode button or use the function keys F1-4 with Shift.

The Combination Modes

The three modes available are:

  • Grid+Slip
  • Grid+Shuffle
  • Grid+Spot

In each of these modes the grid behaviour remains in place when using the Selector tool but when using the Grab and Trim tools the behaviour of the other edit mode takes over. Don't forget that to temporarily suspend grid mode you can hold Command on a Mac or Control on a PC.
