Tutorial - Overlapping Clips In Pro Tools - Layered Editing, Fully Overlapped Clip Playlists And More

See this content in the original post

In this premium video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers demonstrates three useful features of Pro Tools which become important when clips overlap on the timeline and several other related options:

Layered Editing Mode

A simple new feature, introduced in Pro Tools 12.6 which suspends the usual Pro Tools behaviour of trimming underlying clips when a clip gets placed on top.

Send Fully Overlapped Clips To Available Playlist While Editing

This setting protects sequences of clips from being accidentally overwritten while dragging clips on top of them.

Send To Back/Bring To Front

A useful feature while nudging, quickly swap the position of overlapping clips.
