Preparing A Recording For Beat Detective - Pro Tools Expert Premium Tutorial

In this premium video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers sets up a Pro Tools session ready for time correction using Beat Detective in a session, which wasn’t recorded using a click track.

Using Beat Detective is a skill, it’s not exactly an automatic process. It’s a long way from being a hit a button and its sorted solution. However, for many the issues, which aren’t addressed in most Beat Detective tutorials, is how to get set up if your recording wasn’t recorded to a click in the first place. If you are recording without reference to a click track then setting up your session so the grid relates to the recording on the timeline at all is a significant barrier if you’re unsure how best to do it. This tutorial will help with that.
