Pro Tools - Avid Announce Inclusion Of UVI Virtual Instruments At No Extra Cost With Pro Tools 2018
We have some great news that from today all Pro Tools 2018 users with a current upgrade plan will have access to UVI Virtual Instruments at no extra cost. From now on you will be able to create bold, unique sounds with powerful hybrid synthesis and sampling instruments from UVI all now included with Pro Tools 2018.
The other great news is that Pro Tools First users are also included in this expansion of what comes with Pro Tools.
Who Gets What?
The Pro Tools First users will get the UVI Workstation 3 and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6 GB sound pack free. Pro Tools and Pro Tools Ultimate users with a current upgrade plan will get the UVI Falcon, the Falcon Factory Sounds and the Plugsound Avid Edition 2.6 GB sound pack for free as long as they have a current upgrade plan in place.

If you want more sound then the good news is that all you need to do is turn to the Avid Marketplace where you will find more UVI sound libraries available to buy that will expand the sound palettes at your disposal in either the UVI Workstation 3 or the UVI Falcon.
When Will I Find The UVI Products In My Avid Master Account?
It is our understanding is that these products will be deposited in users accounts over the course of the next 7 days or so. So don’t panic if you check your Avid account and they aren’t there yet, be patient. Avid has reassured us that they will get there but they expect it to take a week to get it all done. Apparently customers purchasing new perpetual or subscription licenses should get their UVI products immediately.
UVI And Pro Tools FAQs
Q. How does the licensing work for the UVI plug-ins?
A. Users with an active Pro Tools and Pro Tools Ultimate upgrade plan will receive a subscription license (called "Avid Falcon AAX"), which will have the same end date as the Pro Tools license. Also note that the Falcon Factory content is also protected by the same Avid Falcon AAX license.
All Pro Tools First products will have the download links for UVI Workstation, which is a license-free product.
Q. Are the Stand-alone, VST, and AudioUnits versions of the Falcon plug-in included?
A. No, only the AAX version of Falcon is included.
Q. How do I decompress the Falcon Factory sample library?
A. The Falcon_Factory.rar file can be decompressed with The Unarchiver (Mac) or WinRAR (Win).
Q. What are the installation steps required for the UVI Falcon plug-in?
Download the installers and sample libraries from your Avid Account
Run the Falcon installer
Decompress the Falcon_Factory.rar file using The Unarchiver (Mac) or WinRAR (Win).
Move the sample libraries (Falcon Factory.ufs and Plugsound_Avid_Edition.ufs) to the correct file directory:
On Mac: /Library/Application Support/UVISoundBanks
On Windows: Program Files\UVISoundBanks
