Avid Kill Ideascale - What Next For Getting The Pro Tools Features You Need?
In an email to customers today, Avid the makers of Pro Tools, has announced the end to IdeaScale, the platform for submitting and voting on new Pro Tools features. They write;
At Avid, we understand the value and importance of capturing ideas and feedback from our community and strive to collaborate on innovative solutions and capabilities for future releases. In doing so, Avid has been reviewing the platforms used to collect feedback with the goal of optimizing the process for everyone.
One platform, IdeaScale, will be retired on September 27, 2018. In preparation for this transition, we encourage you to start using the Avid Customer Association or the Avid Link beta app for submitting feedback around product innovations. As part of this transition, we plan to import many of the most popular existing feature requests from IdeaScale at the end of this year.
We look forward to having you continue to share your insight and ideas in 2019 and beyond.

As you can see Avid have said new ways for customers to give feedback are via the Avid Customer Association or the Avid Link beta app. We reported on the new Avid Link beta app in our recent article.
Update - Avid Send Out Email To Pro Tools Users
On September 26th 2018 Avid sent out an email to Pro Tools Users giving some more information on how we can submit Feature Requests using the Lounges section of the new Avid Link app.
At Avid, we understand the value and importance of capturing ideas and feedback from our community and strive to collaborate on innovative solutions and capabilities for future releases. In reviewing the multiple platforms used to collect feedback with the goal of optimizing the process for everyone we have decided to retire our IdeaScale communities effective September 27, 2018.
During this transition we encourage you to continue discussing your feature ideas in our communities and social channels. We are also in the process of adding a new Lounge called “ACA Feature Requests” within our Avid Link application, so you can give us your feedback any time throughout the year, for any of Avid's core products. Please join the Public Beta now and be ready when this lounge becomes available by the end of September.
Also, as part of this transition we plan to import many of the most popular existing feature requests from IdeaScale into our annual ACA Vote at the end of this year.
In addition to Feature Requests, IdeaScale has also been used for Bug Reports, and those should now be reported through our forums...
