In this premium video tutorial, Pro Tools Expert team member Julian Rodgers looks the new 304E and 304C plug-ins from Avid. These are cosmetic updates for the old Joe Meek plug-ins. They sound the same, have the same controls and in sessions using one of the old green plug-ins these should be substituted to give the same sounds as before.

Looking at both the EQ and the Compressor in use on an example featuring bass and drums, Julian revisits these plug-ins and looks at their features and their sound, including the very powerful shelving filters in the 304E and the interesting double attack which can be introduces when driving the 304C hard.
