Why Would I Want To Colour My Tracks Or Clips?

Colour, when used constructively, can help with navigation by making it easier for you to understand where you are in your session and how the different tracks relate to each other. Most experienced users follow the same colour scheme in everything they do. For example I colour my drum tracks brown, I don’t know why but it doesn’t matter why. All that matters is that I always do it, so If I see brown tracks I know they are drums.
