Cloud Collaboration
Fixed an issue where project synchronization never completes when closing a shared project.
Fixed a crash that can occur when opening or creating a project/session on a case sensitive APFS drive.
The progress bar no longer freezes when opening a project's revision history.
Fixed a series of errors that can occur when creating a new project.
Improved reliability when uploading and downloading media to and from the cloud.
File transfers are now successfully cancelled when signing out.
Crashes and Errors
Fixed crash on quit while launching.
Fixed crash on quit after authorization failure.
Fixed a crash that may occur when closing menus.
Fixed crash that occurred after removing iLok then experiencing volume mount.
Fixed crash that occurred when pressing "Show Last Saved Setup" in I/O Setup.
Editing
Optimised Clip Effects to remove short SWOD after saving.
Fixed assertion when selecting a clip containing a fade-in with Object Grabber tool.
Fixed an assertion when unarming an Instrument track after changing timebase.
Manually linked channels of a multi-mono plug-in are now saved.
Rendering duplicated clips with Clip FX or Clip Gain no longer generates blank audio.
Fixed a discrepancy in selection length when entering the values in the 'Start/End' field of the transport, versus the 'Length' field at 59.95 DF.
Fixed an assertion when moving clips with layered editing enabled.
Fixed a crash when dragging a VCA track into a nested folder under certain circumstances.
Fixed an issue where All or Pan Automation on Stereo Tracks would paste on the wrong tracks.
Entering a value in the 'Length' field of the transport will no longer force the selection to the grid when in Slip Mode.
Fixed an error that can occur when using Paste Special on a folder track.
Import
Fixed an issue that prevented the import of certain OMF files.
Dragging files over the timeline, when a video track is present, will no longer cause disruption to playback.
Installer
The Pro Tools installer will no longer remove the AVX2_Plug-ins folder when co-installed with Media Composer on Windows.
MIDI
Command Shift + U now always selects unused midi clips.
Playlists
Fixed assertion stemming from having mixed timebases on alternate playlists.
Production Management
Clip boundaries are no longer incorrectly adjusted when round-tripping rendered audio FX through Production Management.
Importing a higher than 30fps sequence from Production Management will no longer incorrectly inform the user that the session TC rate will change.
User Interface
Fixed incorrect error dialog when activating track in a folder under certain conditions.
Fixed device naming issue in resulting dialog when the interface is removed.
Select All now works properly in the Comments & Type Ahead search.
Copy and paste commands in the comment box no longer affect selected clips on the timeline.
Video
Fixed an issue where some systems would only display a black picture.
Fixed several cases where video clips would have an extra frame of black on the end.
Fixed a frame offset that may occur if the encoded audio within a QuickTime file did not start at the same time as the video.
Fixed an issue where VFR H.264 video will show an "Invalid Bounds" message when opening a session saved in an earlier version of Pro Tools.
Video files with special characters in the name will no longer cause the picture to be black.
What’s Fixed in EuControl 20.5
It could take up to four seconds for automation to start being written or transport commands to be executed
EuControl Software
While all surfaces were locked to Pro Tools in the Assign tab, any change to the My Surfaces list could cause transport button LEDs to stop working
Avid Control
When Channel view was set to show Tracks in the upper section of portrait mode, the Display Breaks on Track Color setting could fail to be applied
After editing parameters on page 2 of Channel view and then attentioning another track with the same plug-in, Channel view could switch to page 1
Channel View function graphs could fail to display after inserting EQ or Dyn plug-ins
In a session with a large number of tracks it was possible for a track to disappear from Mixer view after moving tracks
After renaming a track in Pro Tools it was possible for Channel view to fail to display the new name
It was possible for the wrong track to be displayed as attentioned after being moved in Pro Tools
Meters on tablets in Meters mode could fail to switch to green from blue
It was possible for meters to fail to operate while meter type was set to RMS
Abbreviations for Group and Track names needed improvement
Nuendo: It was possible for Functions 9-16 to fail to be displayed
S1, S3, Dock, Avid Control, and Artist Series with EuControl Software
S1: It was possible for Layouts to not always get recalled correctly after spilling a VCA
S1: When connected via Link Local the S1 could require an additional reboot at before being recognized in EuControl
S1: Spilling and unspilling a VCA by double-pressing the Sel switch could respond inconsistently
S3: Simultaneously pressing Save + Cancel (the “Eye” command) would fail to fully engage “Eye” mode
S3: It was possible for the User button to fail to show its assignment in the Soft Key Editor
Cycling through automation modes from a surface such as S1 could incorrectly disable Trim and reset the track Automation mode to off
