Using Layouts With the S1

A Layout is a recallable custom preset of tracks assigned to specific faders on your S1, S1’s Avid Dock, S4 or S6. Similar to the Custom Fader layers found on D Commands and D Controls, Layouts are a quick way to bring your choice of tracks to your choice of faders in a fast and repeatable way. In the video you’ll see that there are crucial differences between using a layout and spilling a Folder Track or VCA - A layout is truly independent of the track order in the session and it can be applied to as few of the faders as you wish, leaving the other faders available to be used in the usual while leaving the tracks assigned in the Layout pinned to their faders on the S1.

See how it all works in the free video.
