PerfectSurround has released another update of their Penteo 16 Pro upmixing and downmixing all-in-one plugin, to make it is the only upmixer that supports all Dolby formats natively from Atmos 2.1.2 to Atmos 9.1.6 so that now it supports 930 channel up/downmix combinations.

More Dolby Atmos Formats

Last month PerfectSurround updated Penteo 16 Pro by adding Ambisonics decoding and downmixing to any supported format, a Tilt mode allows more forward control for the overhead channels and an LFE full bypass option.

With this latest update, Penteo 16 Pro now supports the following Dolby Atmos consumer formats as well - 2.1.2, 3.1.2, 4.1.2 and 4,1,4.

Support For Apple Silicon And macOS Big Sur

This latest update also brings support for both macOS Big Sur on Intel-based Mac computers as well as support for Apple Silicon powered Macs as well.

Batch Processing Support For Reaper

Although Penteo 16 Pro is largely used on Pro Tools computers, PerfectSurround has seen a significant growth in Penteo being used with Reaper. This shouldn’t be a surprise, especially following the increased Ambisonics support that came in the last update because Reaper has become a very popular DAW in the Ambisonics world
