Watch This Cool Video That Shows You How To Quickly Pimp & Personalise The Appearance Of Your Studio Monitors Using Colourful Stick On Skins

Have you ever thought that studio monitor design in general is a bit samey? Apart from a small number of exceptions, studio monitor cabinets are generally finished in satin black. Nothing wrong with this standard finish but maybe, for some, it lacks a bit of imagination.

Studio monitor brands don’t usually offer a range of colour finishes as I can only imagine it wouldn’t be cost effective to do so. How then can we personalise the look of our monitors without reaching for the primer and paint? I believe I’ve found the solution…

I was browsing the ADAM Audio blog recently and came across a cool article about a range of new colourful skins available for ADAM Audio’s AX Series called DJ Skins. These precision cut adhesive skins allow users to cover the standard black finish of studio monitors with exciting new designs that can compliment either the look or colour scheme of a studio.

Watch the video below to see how easy it is to fit these skins to studio monitors.

At present DJ Skins are only available for ADAM Audio AX Series monitors, but there are several other skin kits available for other types of studio gear including Native Instruments DJ controllers and Apple MacBook Pro laptops. There are several designs available to choose from in the DJ Skin store but if none of those take your fancy you can request a print of one of your own custom designs.
