I'm an 36 years old Ecuadorian sound engineer, currently located in the music city Berlin. Music has been my passion since I started to play the drums at 16. Some years later, while I was studying music in Argentina, I found in the audio production my second love. Being part of the creative process, recording, mixing have become the joy of my life and I cannot imagine myself doing anything else. I moved to Berlin last year to learn more and improve my skills, and now I'm finishing a bachelor degree, and also working on some projects with local artists.
There's no question monitors are a key element to be able to work in an audio production. They are the screen for our ears, and the better the screen, the better the decisions we take while working, so we can work faster and more efficient. I see many people buying fancy computers, fancy plugins or outboard gear, and getting budget monitors with the money left. In my opinion it should be other other way around, and that's why I chose the Heed monitors as the price. I heard them in a studio from a college and I felt in love with them, specially those tweeters! I think for sure they are gonna help me work faster, and offer better results to my future clients

It took a while to arrange but being a resident of Berlin, and with HEDD being a Berlin company, it made sense for Erick to collect his monitors in person and meet Freddy and Klaus, the people behind HEDD monitors. We set it up. Here’s Klaus, Erick and Freddy (L-R).
A black Type 05 being held by someone in a black coat probably isn’t the best choice for product visibility!
