Synchro Arts Launch ReVoice Pro 4 With New APT Music & Dialog Modes, Graphics & Workflow Enhancements, ARA 2 And Cloud Licensing.

Synchro Arts has launched Revoice Pro 4, which they claim to be the ultimate toolbox for timing and pitch adjustment, with over 70 new features and improvements over the previous version. These include:

  • Improved handling of musical vibrato

  • New APT Music and Dialog modes

  • Graphic and workflow improvements

  • ARA 2 support

  • Cloud based licensing

What Is Revoice Pro?

Since its launch in 2012, Revoice Pro has become the go-to software for timing and pitch adjustment for vocals, dialog and instruments, for audio engineers in both the music and post production industries. It can cut down on laborious editing tasks, but retains the natural sound and feel of the original recording, even while performing significant adjustments to the audio. The unique Audio Performance Transfer (APT) function can clone the timing, pitch and level of one audio track and apply it to another (or several others), perfect for tightening up multi-layered vocal tracks, and for dialog replacement in film. It also offers comprehensive manual adjustment of timing, pitch and vibrato, a de-esser and a doubler.

Revoice Pro 4

The new features in Revoice Pro 4 include the Vibrato Warp function, which intelligently identifies the singer’s vibrato characteristics and retains them, even when time stretching or compressing their voice.

Audio Performance Transfer has been further refined, and users can choose between APT Music and Dialog modes depending on the task at hand, for even better results when aligning the pitch, time or level of one track to another.

There have been graphic and workflow improvements, such as user-definable key commands, and Revoice Pro 4 is now ARA 2 compatible, which means significantly improved integration with ARA 2-ready DAWs. Finally, Revoice Pro 4 users now have the choice to use iLok Cloud based licensing for authorization, removing the need for a physical iLok key.

What Do We Think Of The New Synchro Arts Revoice Pro 4?

Paul Drew took a look at using Revoice Pro 4 and the new ARA 2 function, in Studio One 4…

Paul’s Verdict

Revoice Pro 4 can take a bit of time to get your head around, but there is not another all in one package that can do what it does. The results that it can achieve are truly amazing, and in certain situations could be the make or break of a production, especially if the singers pitch and timing leave a lot to be desired. Revoice Pro 4’s pitch correction interface can be confusing but with a bit of practice can achieve excellent results. With the added ARA2 integration, Revoice Pro becomes a perfect companion for Studio One.

Is Revoice Pro 4 good for Post Production And ADR?

Post Production specialist Alan Sallabank was lucky enough to be a beta tester for Revoice Pro 4 and has already put it to good use. Revoice Pro 4 has already rescued me from an out of sync and out of tune nightmare on a major TV Drama series. I never expected it to work, but the results were utterly outstanding.
