Tuesday 15th Oct 2019 saw the opening of a brand new events space, training facility and music store in the heart of Londons Shoreditch. Welcome to Novation London a new Pop Up space for music creation, learning and fine coffee drinking that will be open until the 22nd of December 2019.
Novation London
The new Novation London venue is as much an experience centre as it is a music store. Yes, they do have stock there you can buy and take away with you, but think of this as a location to learn a new skill, enjoy some live music or meet and “chillax” with fellow creatives, it is in Shoreditch after all.
What’s Inside?
The new space is laid out in a very Apple way. The front of the store has plenty of Novation and Focusrite goodies for you to get your hands in with demo stations set up, each with a MacBook or Laptop PC running Ableton Live, a Launchkey or Launchpad and a set of Adam Audio monitors. It’s all connected and working, so grab a coffee, pull up a stool and get creative.
The back of the store with its enormous video wall is the main training and events space. Here they have more demo stations as well as some of the Novation controllers and hardware systems
Free Training
One of the main opportunities that we the general public can take away from this amazing popup space is all free, yes free training sessions being offered. Nearly every day between now and the 22nd of December 2019 there is at least one free session on subjects like Learning Synthesis, Live Performance to Getting Familiar With Abelton Live to Making Beats For House Music. If you are in the Dance / EDM / Electronica music scene Novation London needs to be on your to-do list.
Check out all the courses and session taking place at Novation London and book to now secure your place.
The Launch Event
This evenings event saw a live stream of an intro to the “store” from Novation’s Simon Poulton then straight into demos of the new Launchpad X and Launchpad Mini and the feature of the evening was a preview showing of two new short films feating the amazing production and performance talents of Harry Coade. Harry also performed live Live set at the event.
Closing Time
As with all pop-up style stores, Novation London will be open for a limited time. It will close its doors for the final time on the 22nd of December 2019 so if you want to pop in take advantage of the free training, pick the brains of any of the on-hand product specialists or just hang out in a creative space with an iced latte (not 100% sure that drink is on the coffee menu) then you need to get yourself down to 133 Bethnal Green Road, London E2 as soon as possible. And just so you know, the nearest tube is Shoreditch High Street on the London Overground.
You can find out more about the Novation London store at the Novation website.
