Here are three things you may not know about Scratch Pad in Studio One:

  1. Every scratchpad can have its own tempo: You have the choice to either have the same song playing at different tempos within different scratchpads or try different ideas at in tempos.

  2. Every scratchpad can have its own time signature: Say you want to try out a range of different time signatures in a song. Simple, Scratch Pad will let you do that.

  3. Every scratchpad can have its own Key: If a singer you are working with wants to try the song up 2 semitones then use scratchpad to demo the idea. Using MIDI, select all the tracks and push the notes up or down on the Editor or, in audio, transpose the tracks and then bounce them to keep the transposition intact.
