Currently based at our studio 6db Studios in Osbaldwick, York, 2-Bus Productions 2bus productions is a new, recording, writing & mixing partnership recently formed in July 2019. We offer bespoke music production and recording packages, drum recording packages, mixing and online mixing, basic mastering, pre-production, songwriting and co-writing assistance etc. Additional services also include things such as audio editing and multi-track pre mix prep.

In our relatively short existence, we have worked with many bands, musicians & artists and have started to bolster our showreel with some great production and recordings, consequently receiving great feedback to date from all of the clients we’ve had the pleasure of working with. We have worked with artists locally, nationally and in some cases internationally. Work which represents a solid foundation for us to move forward into 2020 with great confidence and enthusiasm.

Having the new Universal Apollo Twin Quad X is going to help us so much in pretty every area of our Music Production, Recording, Writing & Mixing business. Having the additional 4 Shark chip processing power will especially allow us to augment our mixing flow no end, giving us so much more ‘wiggle room’ for mixing with a lot more of the amazing UAD plugins that are already a big part of our current mixing templates.

Obviously the improved converters derived from the Flagship Apollo X audio interfaces will really help raise our sonic game and the backward compatible TB3 connectivity will allow us to work remotely on our older MacBook allowing us to write, edit, premix and track on the move, which is awesome.

The unison enabled inputs are also a game-changer for us as we have been restricted before by only being able to use the amazing UAD plugins when mixing. We can now track through the UAD console with some amazing flavour allowing us to recreate some of our favourite analogue recording chains on the way in. To have 2 mic / line inputs and a Hi Z input going through such great converters is just going to make our writing, mixing and recording sessions so much more productive, HiFi & versatile with these options now at our fingertips.

The full control capability of the Twin X coupled with the 10 inputs and 6 outputs means that the versatility of this unit is going to be invaluable as we can even when working from the MacBook remotely.

So all in all the Twin X’s compact and portable desktop format, flexible i/o, killer state of the audio quality and plenty of DSP power for running our favourite UAD plugins, not to mention almost zero latency when tracking through the UAD console & plugins, just makes this a game-changer for us as a production team whether we’re going to be writing, editing, mixing or recording.
