AngelShark Carrier Board
The AngelShark Carrier board™ for Apple Mac Pro Cylinder (Late 2013) allows expansion of internal original SSD capacity of Apple Mac Pro (cylinder) with popular M.2 SSD by keeping the original SSD intact. The internal upgrade is required by many users of Mac Pro, struggling with limited SSD capacity and desiring to increase it.
Carrier board was designed for Mac Pro (Late 2013) users to significantly increase the internal storage capacity by allowing the addition of up to 2 M.2 PCI Express SSD modules, while keeping the factory-installed original SSD.
AngelShark Pricing
Prices aren’t cheap at around £325 plus shipping, but for those wanting an internal drive solution then this may be the answer. An example system using Sabrent 2TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 cards @ £249 and the AngelShark Carrier Board could give you a 4TB drive, plus original Apple Mac drive storage for around £800. Given that the price to get 4TB SSD for the new Mac Pro 7,1 is £1260, it’s around 50% cheaper, plus you get to keep the original Mac drive.
