Rendering Chord Track Changes Into MIDI Instrument Parts In Studio One 4 - How To Commit Your Musical Ideas

See this content in the original post

The Chord Track in Studio One 4 is a brilliant feature that allows users to map out their entire song as a harmonic roadmap, similar to what one would do with Markers or the arranger track. It then becomes a visual indication of the chord changes that make up your song.

But that's not the whole story! It also can non-destructively alter both Audio Tracks/Events & Instrument Parts in your entire song to play perfectly against your chords as defined in The Chord Track. There are some small limitations based on complex chords, but in general, it does a great job.

The Chord track is non-destructive meaning it can easily be changed when new ideas strike.

A destructive operation in any DAW is the results of a process being rendered. The opposite is said for non-destructive edits. According to PreSonus, Chord Track was designed with songwriters in mind to enable them to work flexibly throughout a production; hence the Chord Track being non-destructive. But what if you want to export and share your Chord Track MIDI out of Studio One or commit your ideas down? This free video tutorial explores this topic in detail.
