Double Bag Your Next Vocal Tuning Process By Feeding Melodyne's Graphical Workflow Into Antares Auto-Tune Pro' Automatic Mode For Quick, Easy & Precise Tuning

In this free video tutorial we show you a simple way of sculpting the perfect tune and notation of heavy vocal tuning effects by running an instance of Melodyne into Antares Auto-Tune Pro. Without doubt Auto-Tune Pro is the product to reach for to produce that distinctive Cher / T-Pain hard vocal effect. Melodyne on the other hand is by nature a very easy to use surgical tool for tuning. In this tutorial we utilise the strengths of both products.

If you throw an instance of Auto-Tune Pro on a vocal and set a fast retune speed, key and scale you’ll get half way to achieving this hard and fast vocal tuning effect but in some cases the vocal performance you are applying this process to may not trigger the exact melodies you are hearing in your head. This is where Melodyne comes in to play. By inserting an instance of Melodyne before Antares Auto-Tune you are in effect telling Auto-Tune what to force it’s process to. This enables us to add extra notational interest or movement throughout the take as well as helping to achieve results that sound 100% intentional.

In this example we use a vocal performance with major tuning issues to illustrate the usefulness of this tip.
