The Boss Bundle LED Distortion Tested On Guitar, Bass And Drums - Analog LED Diode Distortion From Nembrini Audio

Nembrini Audio is a new company, founded by developer Igor Nembrini. Igor has been involved for years creating many of the industry-standard guitar amp plug-ins we all know and love. The handful of plug-ins this new company already offers are excellent, and they are releasing new ones almost every month.

Their latest release is The Boss Bundle LED Distortion. It is a perfect recreation of the first "amp in a box" pedal that replicates the tone and distortion character of those famous black and gold British guitar amps. The Boss recreates the two LED diode distortion circuit and the amp style passive tone controls of the original unit, as well as adding new features of its own. The addition of a bass enhancer, mid/side control, analog link modelling for micro-variations between the left and right signals, spread, phase inversion and wet/dry controls make this a very flexible and stellar sounding tone-shaping plug-in.

The bundle has two components. One is a pedal version, with a reduced set of controls, the other a rack version with the expanded functionality. The various stages of gain control, plus the interactive nature of the tone controls gives this plug-in a vast range of tone-shaping possibilities.

In this video, I test it out on a lead guitar, fretless electric bass, and drum buss. In each instance, it's got character and drive to spare. The Boss Bundle LED Diode Distortion is on sale at an introductory price of $29 until the end of this month and then goes up to $79. Download the demo and give it a try.
