In Detail

A lot of work has been done using the AI engine with Resolve to help those working with audio. This includes a powerful ducker, dialogue separator, music remixer and AI powered panning for use in stereo, surround or Atmos mixes where the panning can automatically follow a tracker applied to the picture.

There’s an excellent video showing the new audio features from the team at Team 2 Films.

Again, it’s worth noting that DaVinci Resolve is primarily an NLE, so it’s worth comparing the tools with those in competitors such as Final Cut and Adobe Premiere. However, to have these tools in any DAW would be a real bonus.

One things for sure, with over 100 new features, at no extra cost to licence owners, shows just how much some developers care about keeping their customers happy.
