Denise Audio Motion Filter Released

Denise Audio has released Motion Filter, a reimagining of their cult plugin The Sweeper that adds animation to static sounds with a flexible and powerful filter. We have the details…

Of the new plugin, Denise Audio, which was acquired by Baby Audio last year, say:

Designed to be a highly useable tool thanks to its slick and simple interface and low CPU usage, Motion Filter is powered by two motion engines – LFO and Sweeper. Sweeper is an envelope follower that reacts to the incoming audio, alternatively you can use an external side chain signal to trigger the filter envelope. Four filter types are included – low-pass, high-pass, bandpass and notch, and the filter slope can be adjusted from a gentle 12db per octave through to 96db.

Other features include…

Start and end points to set the minimum and maximum frequencies of the sweep to make sure they’re always in the sweet spot.

Dynamic resonance - sweep the filter’s resonance with the cutoff frequency for another dimension of timbral change.

Filter flip for reversing the direction of the filter motion back and forth.

Tempo sync and waveform shaping - sync the LFO rate to the host in LFO mode or sync the release control in Sweeper mode to filter in time with the track's tempo. The waveform can be adjusted with Phase, Skew and Smooth controls.
